B and T Ferns and Orchids is home to Victoria’s largest orchid range.

SPECTACULAR spring orchids will be on show in Silvan this weekend.

Nursery B and T Ferns and Orchids will host the free, annual Yarra Valley Orchid Society Spring Sarcochilus and Orchid Spectacular on 7 and 8 November.

Visitors can check out blooms from some of Victoria’s leading orchid growers.

Top plants are also for sale. Entry is free and refreshments are available.

Now is the perfect time to see native orchids in flower in an array of colours, sizes and shapes.

B and T Ferns carries Victoria’s largest range of native orchids, hybrids, orchid genera, bromeliads, vireya rhodendrons, hostas, stags, elks, ground ferns, tree fern varieties, proteas and clivias.

Green thumbs will find plant and fern varieties suitable to their location with advice from friendly staff.

The nursery can also host visits from gardening clubs, social clubs and groups.

Owners Mark and Jane Finnigan will demonstrate gardening techniques, and offer access to a barbecue and free morning or afternoon tea.

B and T Ferns and Orchids is located at 30 Wiseman Road, Silvan, and can be contacted by calling 9737 9354 or sending an email to dihcro@ausfernsnorchids.com.

The centre’s retail section is open to the public seven days a week.
