CENTRELINK and Medicare Australia began working alongside each other at Altona Gate Shopping Centre from last Monday.

Human Services general manager Hank Jongen said for the first time Centrelink and Medicare Australia will be conveniently available for customers.

“The nearest Centrelink office at Melbourne Rd in Newport remains open for business as usual, with Altona Gate customers getting the added benefit of Centrelink services alongside Medicare Australia,” he said.

There will be one Centrelink employee from Newport stationed inside the Medicare office.
