NEW Year’s Eve parties and fireworks resulted in the RSPCA picking up eight frightened dogs from Hobsons Bay’s pound during the 36 hours after midnight.

RSPCA spokeswoman Kelly Walker said most of the dogs had been reclaimed by their owners soon after being collected by the RSPCA.
