HOPPERS Crossing’s Youth Resource Centre is set to undergo a $2.11 million extension as part of Wyndham City Council’s 10-year capital works program.

The project will start in six weeks and is scheduled to be completed by June next year.

“The Youth Resource Centre (YRC) extension will provide additional resources for the expanding youth population in Wyndham,” Wyndham City Councillor Marcel Mahfoud said.

“The YRC currently provides a range of outstanding services for young people; however, the centre is operating at capacity.

“The City is looking forward to the provision of more space for youth-related activities and services.”

The extension will feature five additional consulting rooms, as well as four further agency and tenant offices. Eight extra computers will be installed, along with additional toilet facilities and a community kitchen space.
