THE long-awaited Arndell Park Community Centre was given a funding boost last week.

The State Government made the $1 million announcement as part of the Community Facilities for Growth Areas program and a Victorian Community Support Grant.

Major construction started in Forsyth Rd last month and is expected to be complete in early 2011.

The centre is set to feature two kindergarten rooms, two maternal and child health consulting rooms, consulting room for agencies and government departments, three community meeting spaces and a community learning room.
