EVERYONE was feeling a bit blue at a golf charity day supporting Very Special Kids held at Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club on Friday.

Avid golfers had a great time with former Carlton Blue Boys Anthony Koutifides and Ange Christou also having a bash at the Greg Norman-designed course.

Australian cricket legend Dean Jones was also on hand to show his golfing prowess.

The charity day, organised by the Commonwealth Bank, was in support of the annual Piggy Bank Appeal, which supports families of children with life-threatening illnesses.

Very Special Kids CEO David Agnew said the organisation was supporting more than 850 families across Victoria.

“Events like the Commonwealth Bank’s Golf Day make an enormous difference to Very Special Kids because we rely on the generous support of the community to provide 80 per cent of the $4.3 million we need each year to continue providing our services,” Mr Agnew said.
