POLICE are hunting a brazen armed bandit who held up two stores in Wyndham earlier this year.

The first incident occurred about 9.15pm on 24 March when a man entered a convenience store on Rose Grange Boulevard and approached the owner.

The man allegedly pulled out a kitchen knife and demanded money.

But the owner fought back and grabbed a chair before the man fled empty handed.

About 15 minutes later it is alleged the same man attended a milk bar on Bellbridge Drive where he again produced a knife.

The man stole a quantity of cash before fleeing on foot. The bandit is described as male, about 175-183cm tall with a thin build. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppers.com.au.
