AS FATHERS across Brimbank are pampered with breakfast in bed and countless pairs of underwear and socks this Sunday morning, a special group of grandfathers enjoyed playtime last week when Caroline Springs Playgroup hosted Father’s Day celebrations.
Dads, Stepdads and Grandfathers were the guests of honour, as youngsters enjoyed story time, music and other creative fun.
Caroline Springs Playgroup president Andrea Houlden said it was a fantastic day for the children and their families.
“This year, we are focusing on Father’s and Grandfather’s Day to get the boys along for the morning of festivities and activities,” Mrs Houlden said.
“The children always love bringing along the special people in their lives for events such as this one and showing them all the great things they get to do at playgroup.”
Grandfather of five Robert Chetcuti said it was a very special day, but said he was lucky enough to enjoy Grandfather’s day all the time.
Mr Chetcuti said now that he was retired, his grandchildren got his full attention and watching them play and laugh last week was something he wouldn’t forget.
