SUNSHINE went down to Kingston Saints at Dempster Park on Saturday in round 10 of the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association.
After last week finishing on 9/265, the Crows hoped to keep the Saints at bay on day two but was unable to peg the visiting batsmen back.
The Saints finished with 6/268 with five overs to spare. Troy Stone, who was the hero on day one with 110 runs to his name, snared two wickets to lead the bowling charge but in the end the Saints with wickets in hand were too strong.
KEILOR continued its merry way to the finals, securing a comprehensive 100-run win over McKinnon at McKinnon Reserve on Saturday.
Shane Gordon led the way for Keilor, picking up four scalps through the middle order, while Robert Cook chipped in with two wickets to finish off the struggling hosts. On day one, Keilor batted and made 288, courtesy of half-centuries to Lucas Bugeja, Jamie Sheahan and Matt Willmott.
Keilor sit third on the VTCA senior division ladder, while McKinnon remain seventh, just under 13 points out of the top four.
SUNSHINE suffered another harsh loss in its round 10 Division One Baseball clash, this time at the hands of a ruthless Essendon side.
The match played at Essendon’s Boeing Reserve saw the unforgiving Bombers side prove why they are in the top three, taking the match 10-0 in a whitewash. The Eagles were done in seven innings in a match that will hurt its percentage as it races to avoid relegation.

WYNDHAM Vale Football Club is putting the call out to past players and their families in a bid to piece together its 30-year history.
Club administrator Peter Maynard said the club had been around since the early seventies but there was little evidence to prove it.
“There has been no co-ordinated documentation of our history since its inception,” he said.
“I want to reach as many people as possible to source the information from within our community to enable me to update honour boards etc and recognise those who have gone before us, including photos, games played etc.”
Maynard hoped that the exercise would eventually result in a past players and officials reunion.
Maynard put the call out for any information on the club including old memorabilia that people in the community possess.
