TWO teenage boys were arrested after a man was allegedly robbed and injured with what police believe was a stun-gun in St Albans last Wednesday (11 November).
Police from Sunshine and Keilor Downs attended the scene of the armed robbery in Victoria Crescent around 9.20pm, after a man was shocked with a “stun-gun type implement”.
Investigators said the man had been walking with two friends, when they were approached by a group of five other males.
The men demanded the trio hand over their mobile phones.
After the 28-year old stun-gun victim did so, the weapon was allegedly used to shock him in the buttocks.
The man, from Brighton, was treated at the scene, then taken to hospital with minor injuries and later released.
Police said the group of five men fled and two 17-year-old males were arrested nearby in Alfredia St.
The teenagers, who are both from Taylors Hill, are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Embona detectives are appealing for anyone who might have information or witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
