THREE Brimbank schools will share in $7 million to upgrade infrastructure in their schools.

Maribyrnong MP Bill Shorten announced last week that Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Sunshine would receive $2.5 million for a new library, Sacred Heart Primary School in St Albans would receive $2 million for construction of a multi-purpose hall and that St Paul’s in Kealba would receive $2.5 million for the construction of a hall and a library.

The grants come as the first round of the Primary Schools for the 21st Century (P21) program is rolled out.

“It is wonderful to see our local schools and our local community benefit from the Government’s huge investment in new school buildings,” Mr Shorten said.

Construction and refurbishment work will commence as soon as possible on the three schools.
