ST ALBANS judo club featured strongly at the recent national championships in Perth.

Eleven-year-old Madeleine Rooney, nine-year-old Tynneka Vangeli and her mum Gina brought home the goods with two silvers and a bronze medal between them.

Sister’s Sasha and Bridget Sommeling qualified for the tournament by winning gold in the state championships earlier in the year but were unable to make the trip to Perth.
