Parks spark off

SUNSHINE’S chronic lack of open space is set to be the hot topic at an upcoming community forum.
Brimbank Council is holding a community forum and morning tea next month to give residents passionate about parks the opportunity to bend administrators’ ears.
The council is inviting the community to discuss strategies to transform Sunshine’s parks and provide input into plans for the redevelopment of Buckingham Reserve, Tom O’Brien Park and Kevin Wheelahan Gardens.
Award winning playground designer Ric McConaghy will also run a workshop on children’s playground design.
The forum will be held at the Salvation Army Hall on Devonshire Rd on 11 September at 10am.
Morning tea and refreshments will be provided.
