SUNSHINE residents will benefit from an extra 70 bus services to Williamstown each week.

Public Transport Minister Lynne Kosky said extended hours of operation on route number 471, including a new all-day Sunday service would mean more flexible travel options for people in Williamstown, Newport, Altona North and Sunshine.

Footscray MP Marsha Thomson said it was good to see this additional service for the people of Sunshine. The new services mean commuters could chose from nine extra services on Saturdays, 32 new services on Sunday and 30 extra weekday services.

Detailed route and timetable information on the new service is available by calling Metlink on 131 638 or visiting www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au.
