Lalor cyclist killed in Epping truck crash

A LALOR cyclist died last Wednesday after he was hit by a truck in Epping.
This incident came on the same day as police launched a month long operation aimed at targeting road trauma involving ‘vulnerable road users’ including cyclists, pedestrians and motorcycle riders and passengers.
The 61-year-old man was attempting to cross Cooper St in a northerly direction shortly after 7am when he was hit by the small truck, which was travelling east on Cooper St near the Hume Freeway overpass. The man died at the scene.
