Romp in the park

Albanvale’s Tim Williams could only look on hopelessly as Daniel Neville celebrated another goal for North Footscray in the WRFL division two major semi-final on Saturday. North Footscray romped it in, winning 16.17 (113) to 3.6 (24) to advance to the grand final in a fortnight. It was close for a quarter, with the Devils only eight points up at the first break, but after that North Footscray allowed Albanvale only one more goal for the game. Samuel Karter was best on ground, while Jarrod Arnott played a great game in defence to stymie dangerous forward Sherif Mohamed. Albanvale will play Parkside in next week’s preliminary final, the winner to play North Footscray in the grand final. Parkside had a gritty win against Deer Park on Sunday, 14.12 (96) to 11.7 (73). 52071 Picture: KRISTIAN SCOTT
