FOOTSCRAY-Edgewater is in a precarious position heading in to day two of the round 13 clash against Casey-South Melbourne with an uphill battle on its hands.
The Bulldogs produced a 198 thanks to a healthy 77 from opener Shaun Dean and a quality 75 from Carl Sandri at number six but finished the day in trouble as the Casey batters charged to 0/40 at the end of the day’s play.
There was a lack of contributors down the batting card for the Bulldogs with only four batsmen including Dean and Sandri making it to double figures.
The other two were captain Nathan Geisler and wicket keeper Dean Russ who hit 12 and 10 respectively before giving up their wickets.
With only two rounds left in the season after this weekend, time is not on the Bulldogs side and a loss would almost certainly stamp out the already feint finals hope that remains.
