A BRAYBROOK resident has received a civil engineering scholarship through VicRoads. Kevin Ramos was one of four metropolitan students to receive a $12,000 cheque, certificate and place in the 2010 graduate program at a ceremony last week.
“I really enjoyed my vacation work with VicRoads so I decided to apply for the scholarship – now I have experience, financial stability and a job for next year,” Mr Ramos said.
The ceremony also awarded the latest graduates to complete the VicRoads Graduate Program, which gives 65 university students a year the chance to gain experience in the engineering, business and IT disciplines at VicRoads.
Applications for the 2009/10 Vacation Employment Program will open on 3 August. Students can apply at www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vacationemployment.
