A NOBLE Park man has been charged with murder following the death of a three-year-old girl earlier this month.

Phong Gia Quach, 22, has had his case adjourned to the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 30 August for a committal mention.

Victoria Police said Liliana Lam died at the Monash Medical Centre at 12.30am on 4 May. It is alleged that the girl had been assaulted earlier in her home in Mihan Street, Noble Park, before being taken to hospital about 10.30pm on Wednesday, 3 May.

Homicide detectives charged Mr Quach on the evening of 4 May with murder.
