CITY of Hume Mayor Geoff Porter is urging residents not to drink and drive over the end of footy season celebrations and the upcoming racing season.

“Drink driving remains one of the biggest killers on Victoria’s roads, with this in mind council reminds residents not to drink drive and always have a responsible designated driver before you start drinking,” said Cr Porter.

“This is a time we need to look after our mates. If you think someone has had too much to drink then call a cab, call their partner, call their mother, take their keys from them! Just don’t let them drink and drive.”
