THE Aldebaran Park two-year-old Trotters Handicap over 2190m opened the day’s proceedings at Maryborough on Monday 30 August in which Yankee Paco/Flash And Flair filly Our Flash Girl was successful.

Having already won a race, Our Flash Girl trained at Bolinda by Chris Alford for Kilmore owner/breeders Kevin and Faye Waller and driven by Romsey’s Scott Dyer, stepped cleanly from the 10 metre mark, weaving her way through the field while also avoiding several gallopers to assume control running into the first turn.

Always in control, Our Flash Girl cruised to the wire in accounting for Miss Eliza which raced outside her for the final circuit after galloping shortly after the start, with Innocentbystander third after also galloping just after the start. The mile rate 2-09.2. Chris Alford is presently taking a well-deserved break enjoying the sun in Cairns.

MEETINGS: Wednesday – Ararat, Thursday – Cranbourne, Friday – Charlton/Melton, Saturday – Ballarat, Sunday – Kilmore, Monday – Cobram, Tuesday – Geelong.

Horses to follow: Friday Lunch, Out All Night, Ex Con, Knights Embrace, Grinaloud, Waterslide.
