THE Northern Knights continue to build its off-field team for the TAC Cup season, appointing former Collingwood player Ron McKeown to the role of assistant coach for 2010.

McKeown has a plethora of football experience at the national and local levels, playing 123 games for Collingwood in the AFL and coaching in the Ovens and Murray, Eastern, and Northern football leagues.

The appointment to the role will be no shock to McKeown, having helped the Knights with talent identification for development squads in the last two seasons.
