LITTLE Athletics returned to Clancy Reserve on Saturday with Kilmore District Little Athletics club (KDLA) getting straight back in to Saturday morning competitions.

Caleb Mallia was nominated as the Star Little Athlete of the Week for an outstanding performance in the triple jump.

“Caleb is the kind of guy who is always seen busting a gut to the end of every event, also often seen collapsing at the end of every race flat out on the ground and even sometimes during the race, but he always finishes,” KDLA president Gary O’Brien said.

“He has been given the award for an excellent PB in the triple jump. Caleb was an example that many followed on the first day back from the Christmas break.”

O’Brien said many personal bests were achieved on the first day back from the break.
