Heartbreak for Wallan as Diggers win

WALLAN suffered its second loss of the year, going down to the undefeated Diggers Rest by 13 goals with the final sore 47-34.

Broadford came close to knocking off the top of the ladder Melton Centrals going down 32-29.

Naomi Stode top scored for Broadford with 15, while Wendy Inness finished with 11 goals to her name.

Kilmore smashed a hapless Rockbank side by 18 goals. It was Kilmore’s first win for the season and Rockbank’s fourth consecutive loss.

S. Chisolm (23) and S. Godwill (20) were in good form around the net, while S. Blake and B. Chisolm were named in the best players.

In other A Grade results, Lancefield got up by a goal in a thriller against Romsey, Macedon was too strong for Sunbury, Riddell beat Woodend Hesket.
