HIDDEN Valley Golf Club had increased numbers on the weekend due to the unfortunate circumstances of the Whittlesea clubhouse burning down.
The L’Oreal Women’s Golf day was held on Tuesday with the ladies competing to win one of the beauty prizes.
It is the sixth year that Hidden Valley Golf Club have run the event with Cathie Fasso winning with a nett score of 71 with other grade winners on the day were Juanita Lutz and Colleen Langford.
Chris Chierego was back in form last Sunday morning winning the back tee event with 36 points.
First round lead of the Autumn Cup went to Margaret Dean who showed a clean pair of heels to the field firing a fine nine up in the par event.
Four shots behind is Robyn Gallasch with the rest of the field needing to pull together some great performances to have any chance of catching them.
The pennant season has been a poor one for Hidden Valley with three out of the four teams missing the final.
The Division One team has a chance to make amends for their shock loss last season when they take on defending champions Seymour for the Dalhousie title on Sunday.
