THE return of former Werribee captain James Podsiadly to Chirnside Park will be under lights, with the Tigers submission to have their round 19 clash against Geelong moved to a 7pm timeslot approved by the VFL.

It will be the first time Podsiadly, one of the Tigers’ most decorated VFL players in recent years, will return to his former club.

Werribee CEO Mark Penaluna said the idea to have another night game came largely off the success of the round two night match also held at Chirnside Park.

The Tigers’ round two night clash with the Bendigo Bombers brought a crowd of more than 4,000 people through the gates, and, with Podsiadly set to line up for Geelong in the round 19 match, that figure could well be topped.

The round 19 match will be on 22 August.
