ENDEAVOUR Hills Rugby Union Club’s A-grade side recorded a convincing 20-6 win over Monash University at Frog Hollow Reserve on Saturday.

It was the local derby and a large crowd ventured to the Endeavour Hills ground, where they were treated to a quality display of rugby union.

The Endeavour Hills side played a cleaner style of rugby, made fewer mistakes and in the end taught the students a very valuable lesson.

In other Endeavour Hills results:

Footscray defeated the Colts 37-0.

Northcote defeated the under-18s 34-15.

Under-14a defeated Harlequin 34-25.

Under-12a defeated Northcote 15-10.

The Endeavour Hills colts coach and former club president Archie Kennedy has coached the Victoria’s state team, the Melbourne Axeman to the semi-finals of the Australian Rugby Shield competition.

The Axemen take on the New South Wales Country Cockatoo at Holmesglen Reserve in Ashwood on Saturday night.
