DETECTIVES have charged a Hampton Park man following a serious assault on a Dandenong police officer in October last year.

Stephen Andy, 28, was arrested on Wednesday 3 March and charged with intentionally causing serious injury and affray.

He appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last Friday.
