@BT Sub Sport Gaz:A GRADE
After a two-week break, Pakenham came out hard from the first whistle and had a great first half with strong plays.
The intensity that Pakenham had been applying dropped of during the second half and this could possibly have been from the absence of game time over the past two weeks.
The game saw a few different combinations of players due to having a comfortable lead and being able to take control of the game.
Unfortunately Erin Cunningham came off with an ankle injury in the last quarter which caused another shuffle of players at the defence end.
Sheree Smith had an excellent game causing many stoppages of Devon Meadows passages down the court that resulted in Pakenham taking advantage of further goaling opportunities.
Scores: Pakenham 50 d Devon Meadows 31.
Awards: Sheree Smith, Chantelle Bakkum and Michelle Webster.

Pakenham started off slowly and took some time to adjust.
When the ball got moving and the girls settled they all stepped up and played some great netball. Lauren Goldsworthy and Raegan O’Brien found form in the goal ring and worked the ball using Tyler Anderson and Tenielle Atwell on the ring.
At half time, Natalie Harau came on to rest the defence and stepped up in the wing defence position. Jill Tivendale and Nicole Foss worked well in the second half creating some great turnovers.
Scores: Pakenham 66 d Devon Meadows 35.
Awards - Lunar Drive In: Tyler Anderson, Australian Bakehouse: Raegan O’Brien, Hungry Jack’s: Lauren Goldsworthy.

Pakenham had quite a few new positions to start the game with Laura Christie in centre making herself available for options when needed and there was some settling in for the attackers in the first quarter to work out the feeding into the goal ring.
The defenders did an excellent job with Peta Nobelius demonstrating a great captain’s game and making it extremely hard work for Devon Meadows to find its goalers.
With Julie Dixon creating many turnovers in her strong wing defence position, Pakenham took the lead into the first break.
By half time, Pakenham had widened the lead.
Marnie Young, playing her first game back at the club this season, fitted into wing attack immediately creating some attacking options and drive into the goal ring.
Scores: Pakenham 45 d Devon Meadows 21.
Awards – Bakehouse: Peta Nobelius, Hungry Jack’s - Hayley Mott, Lunar Drive In - Julie Dixon.

Pakenham came out firing in the first quarter to lead 17 – 3.
There was good movement of the ball throughout the midcourt with Laura Christie and Meaghan Cook feeding the ball directly in to the goalers.
Both goalers Toni Dart and Cassie Bridgett used these opportunities to goal with accuracy and consistency.
Defenders Sarah Carroll, Melanie Tozer and Aleisha Taurua all played a great tight defensive game’ intercepting many balls and denying Devon Meadows goalers a chance.
In the second half, Pakenham rotated its players with Ashley Barnes and Natalie Horua taking the court. This did not interrupt the game at all and showed that all players are versatile and willing to play in any position the coach asks them to.
