ST Francis Xavier Old Collegians travelled down the Monash to play Uni Blues on the picturesque oval at Melbourne University on Saturday.

In a very important match for the X-men’s season, the team was never headed and ran out comfortable eight-goal winners.

The side’s pressure, tackling and quick movement of the football was first class that will now put the X-men in fourth spot on the ladder.

Among the best players was Anthony Pryor, who was sensational playing on the ball the whole game.

Joel Lenders and Karl Russo continually pumped the ball forward to the three-prong attack of Ben Spencer and Pearson brothers Justin and Trent.

Co-captains Chris Van Dam and Xavier Gargan led from the front.
