GARFIELD Netball Club’s A-grade team came back from a two-week break for a 33-goal win against Sale at the weekend.

After two weeks break Garfield was well refreshed. The A-grade team started the game with a plan and stuck to it.

Lauren Soumilas played one of her best games all season giving Sales a hard time in the ring. Laine Eastwell was back in form moving well and goaling at a high percentage.

Garfield got of to a great start and never looked back, stepping up each quarter.

Brooke Cahill was inspirational in WA, Casey Robson also played well in WD, with Di Collis back in defence, picking up many intercepts.

Garfield showed what a good team it has threatened to be all year with four convincing quarters restricting Sale from being able to take the lead at any stage in the game.

The game started a bit of a shaky, but soon picked up and the Stars worked well as a team.

After two weeks off Garfield did well against a very strong side, showing improvements since the first meeting in round one.

Kasi Burge, Bianca Collis and Karly Matthews all showed their strength and versatility playing at both ends of the court.

In the midcourt Jessie Scamporlino, Bec Singleton, Ruby Collis did not give up, along with defenders Zoe Clarkson and Lucy Wheeler.

A great team effort by the girls. They are a much-improved side and all their hard work at training is paying off.

Meg Bogart and Grace were exceptional in the goal ring, with Ebony Jeffrey, Emma Masal and Ashlee King working the ball well to get it into the goals. Tamara Monson and Brittany Taylor were excellent in defence stopping many goals by intercepting and rebounding.

Tegan Chick also played well for the quarter she was on.
