GEMBROOK-Cockatoo’s under 16 team travelled to Yarra Glen to play Seville and came away with a 37-point win.

The Brookers started well with good run and good team play.

After half-time, Seville took the game up to the Brookers who had to work hard to keep the lead.

After a slow start, the Brookers played well for the second and third quarters, but fell away in a very ordinary last quarter.

After a slow start where the opposition shot out of the blocks, the Brookers came home strongly to play out a very tight finish.

Bad luck went against the Brookers when a goal was kicked about half a second after the half-time siren.

To the Brookers’ credit they never gave in and persisted in a tough contest, highlighting their fighting spirit.
