FOUR young people were involved in taking a two-metre-high blow-up Shrek from Safeway Berwick.

Safeway spokesman Garry Round said two women and two men aged about 20 were in the store.

He said the Shrek was hanging from the roof and one of the men reached across from aisle one, yanked it down and ran off.

Mr Round said he caught up with the girls and got their names.

“We also have clear video footage of the fellow who took the Shrek and this has been given to police,” he said.

Mr Round said Safeway hoped to get the blow-up back because it was to be raffled to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
