THE next City of Casey sporting clubs development workshop will focus on grants, fundraising and sponsorship.

The workshop will be held on Monday, 25 June at a venue to be confirmed.

Casey arts and leisure manager Robyn Bowen said the workshop one of a series to be delivered over the next year.

“The first workshop, held last month, was attended by representatives from 15 clubs and focused on committee management and succession planning.

“Feedback from coaches, officials and administrators on the first workshop was terrific.”

The sessions were conducted by Cricket Victoria regional development manager David Hall and sponsored by the City of Casey and Sport Education Victoria.

Ms Bowen said the workshops were arranged after consultation with clubs during the Casey Sports Forum held earlier this year.

“I strongly encourage club organisers to take part in this valuable session, which will discuss the types of issues vital to the success and future of most clubs.”
