A REPLICA of part of the acclaimed Cardinia Embroidery will take pride of place at the Beaconsfield Community Centre.

Cardinia councillor Brett Owen won support from colleagues last week to make an $1100 donation from Central Ward funds to the project.

Cr Owen said the money would be given to the Beaconsfield Progress Association to cover half of the cost of purchasing a replica canvas panel of the Beaconsfield contribution to the shire-wide project.
