ENGINEERING student Matthew Cole has won the Chisholm Institute’s outstanding apprentice of the year award.
Matthew lives in Hampton Park and works for South Dandenong’s Crane Aid.
The award presentation marked the completion of study for more than 200 students on courses ranging from certificate to advanced diploma level across the School of Business and Management and the School of Manufacturing and Engineering.
Matthew, who has won other awards for his work, said it was satisfying to be recognised by Chisholm.
“I am grateful to receive this award and I thank Chisholm,” he said.
He holds the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce Young Enterprise Award for commitment to study and professionalism demonstrated while in the workplace.
He completed Certificate III in engineering technology last year and in that time Chisholm judged him the highest achieving apprentice for levels two and three.
