BERWICK Village Chamber of Commerce has given St John of God Hospital Berwick $1000 from the 2006 grid girls festival.

The money represents about 10 per cent of profits made at the festival.

St John of God Hospital chief executive Tony Hollamby said the money would be used to buy a specific piece of equipment for the hospital in the name of the chamber.

He said the support given was valuable to the hospital and highly appreciated.
