TIME is running out.

Don’t forget to dob in a mate at your netball or football club or enter yourself in the competition to be Star News Group’s King or Queen at the Pakenham Racing Club’s Guineas Day.

Not only will the winner have the honour of calling themselves the King or Queen of the day – and collect four tickets to the gala marquee at Pakenham on Oaks Day on 4 November – but the sporting club the victor belongs to will win $10,000.

Racing club sales and events co-ordinator Anthony Millican said football and netball clubs throughout Victoria would soon receive an information pack outlining how to register for the competition.

He said if more than one player from a club entered, only one would be chosen as a finalist.

Those wanting to register must do so by Friday 17 September, with finalists announced in the following edition of the Pakenham Gazette.

Voting begins on 27 September and the winner will be announced at the Pakenham Guineas on 9 October.
