AS Australia waits on the outcome of the Federal Election, residents in McMillan and Flinders are still waiting to see if they will get a Kooweerup Bypass.

Despite promises from Liberal MP Greg Hunt to fund the bypass if the Coalition was elected, residents have been left to wait on the result.

“Who knows what will happen?” Mr Hunt said about the final result.

“But we want to deliver the bypass, and if we win we will be able to deliver on that promise.”

He said the support he received in both Kooweerup and Lang Lang was indicative of the communities’ need for a bypass.

But for now, residents are still left waiting.
