CAR lovers gathered at the Pakenham Racecourse on Sunday for the Federaion Veteran, Vintage and Classic Vehicle Clubs’ annual picnic.

Rod Hokin from Langwarrin proudly showed off his 1928 Chrysler Imperial sedan. He loves his Chryslers, owning three Imperials the 1928 Sedan, which he bought five years ago, as well as a roadster and a tourer which he has owned for 22 years. Mr Hokin, who once owned 12 classic cars, said his interest in them came from his father.

“When we were younger that’s all we drove around in,” he said.

Mr Hokins attended the picnic with his family.

“My eightyearold kept asking when the next Pakenham picnic is.

“Unfortunately I had to tell her not until next year,” he said.
